About the Artist, Roxanne Baldwin

Roxanne Baldwin is a native and resident of Connecticut. A child of two commercial artists, she started learning about art at an early age. In fact, she regards her mother as her first art teacher.

Baldwin’s education was from various sources. She interned with a professional portrait artist for a while. She took classes at both the Art Students League, and the School of Visual Arts, both in New York City.

After much exploration, Baldwin settled on colored pencil as her medium. It allows her to draw, which she prefers over painting. It also allows her to use color in her compositions.

She is mostly influenced by illustrators, such as Eivynd Earle, and Maxfield Parrish.

All in all, Roxanne Baldwin is an artist of many different styles and subjects.
