Ugly

$500.00

At some point, I was accepted into an art exhibition, with a certain theme. I don’t remember what the theme was, but this is what I produced for it.

In Danbury, as with many cities, the ugliest part of town is around the railroad station. I was at the railroad station many times that year, helping out my brother and his wife.

As I waited on the platform, I noticed bits and pieces of beauty. There were wildflowers between the tracks, and birds pecking at the garbage that had been thrown around.

I call this drawing “Ugly”. I think you understand why.
